Venetian Carnival
321. December 2013 by swizzzlestick
Thanks to Straight Up, http://drinkstraightup.com/, the december’s MxMo theme, http://mixologymonday.com/, is Anise, such a wonderful idea!
Today I had time to to play a little bit behind this heavy wooden door in my house and have come up with the Venetian Carnival! My basic idea was to mix a drink with egg liqueur and Raki as I knew this wonderful combination from other drinks already. Orange juice made it fruity and citrusy and the cinnamon syrup added a touch of sweetness and Christmas feeling. To make it more interesting I created a strong anise and coffee flavored black float of vodka and Sambuca. I hope you enjoy it as well as I did! This drink is a dream for Anise lover!
Ingredients
4 cl Turkish Raki, 3cl Egg Liqueur, 8cl Orange juice, 1cl Cinnamon Syrup
For the Float
2 cl Italian Black Sambuca (Sambuca with coffee liqueur), 2cl Blavod (black vodka)
Garnish: one Physalis
Preparation
Shake the ingredients with ice and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Carefully top with the black Sambuca and the black Vodka. Garnish with the physalis.
What an original combination! 🙂
Thank you so much!
